The Optoma HD33, 1080p, 3D Projector gives users brilliant images without having to invest in a more expensive television. You receive clear images that can be appreciated in full 3D, 1080p for Blu-ray viewing, gaming consoles, HTPC or for use with satellite and cable. The HD33 is great for home theater usage because of its brightness. This projector is state-of-the-Art DLP technology that gives vibrant colors on screen and supports all 1080p formats without needing an Optoma 3D-XL converter box which saves the user money. This product is designed and manufactured for eco-friendliness for all those who are interested in going “green”.
In comparison to the Epson 3010, the Optoma HD33 is much sharper and the colors are more vivid. Scenes have more pop and you experience a brighter picture with the Optoma. The Optoma also has frame interpolation, which the Epson does not. The 3D is incredible and even with lights on in the house the picture quality is great.
There are many positive reviews written about the Optoma HD33 for good reason. This is a quality projector sold for a price level that is unbelievable. The blacks are fantastic and the color really pops on screen. No rainbow effect or ghost effect seen so a very decent picture quality. This is true DLP, which means more life-life pictures.
With such a quality projector it is difficult to come up with anything negative to say except perhaps that the cap for lens is attached to the focus ring, which means that the focus could go out of whack when the cap is replaced. A shift feature would have prevented this issue from occurring; perhaps the manufacturer will correct this in the near future. One caution – do not run the projector for 6 hours straight or plug and unplug game consoles without suffering the results so treat the projector with care and it will last. No projector is perfect but the Optoma HD33 comes pretty darn close.
The Optoma HD33, 1080p, 3D Projector is highly recommended for anyone looking to receive excellent sharp 3D pictures, and for anyone planning on using it for gaming you will be amazed at the life-like action and real color that pops off the screen. This projector is a must have for Superbowl game watching and for anytime you have friends over. A definite difference between LCD projector and a DLP projector so as long as you recognize the difference and treat the Optoma HD33 with care you will continue to be thrilled with your purchase for years to come.
